What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Cheyenne's Early Learning Center?
Summary
As the Maintenance Worker of CELC, you must have the ability to work independently and provide superior
customer service as well as possess a strong work ethic. Candidate must be able to speak and write
fluently in English. Candidate must have knowledge in commercial building operations including HVAC,
plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems as well as housekeeping.
Duties
Performs general maintenance repairs such as: basic carpentry, floor repairs, minor plumbing and
electrical repairs, painting and plaster repairs, minor glazing, light bulb and fluorescent tube
replacement, and other related minor building repairs or maintenance;
? Assists building maintenance staff in duties requiring physical labor; correction of emergency
conditions such as sewer back-ups or flooding of space; snow removal; cleaning of operating
equipment; and other tasks.
? Provides written lists of activities and deficiencies within the building to the Owner/Director. Such
reports outline building activity, specific conditions or situations, exact locations and
recommendations for corrective action. Examples of activities or deficiencies include:
? Malfunctioning door closers or doors loose from frame.
? Light fixtures damaged or removed.
? Stuck elevators, slow closing doors or defaced cabs.
? Hanging access panels, running faucets or toilets, missing floor tile, or damaged walls.
? Contracted services, such as pest control, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, etc.
? Responds to emergency situations on a 24-hour on-call basis with overtime compensation.
? Performs property inspections as directed.
? Perform any other related duties as required or assigned; and
? Assist the Owner/Director as requested.
Requirements
? High school or equivalent
? 3 years general maintenance experience
