Job Summary :
Responsible for developing and managing business loan relationships, assessing creditworthiness, and structuring loan solutions that align with both client needs and the financial institution’s risk policies. This role requires strong analytical, sales, and relationship management skills to drive business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
Loan Origination & Business Development :
- Identify, pursue, and develop new commercial lending opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, real estate investors, and referral partners.
- Conduct outreach efforts, including networking, cold calling, and community engagement, to generate new business.
Loan Structuring & Credit Assessment :
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess borrower risk.Structure and negotiate loan terms, ensuring profitability and risk management.Prepare and present loan proposals to underwriting and credit committees.Portfolio Management & Client Servicing :
Maintain an active portfolio of commercial loans, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.Monitor loan performance, conduct regular client check-ins, and manage renewals.Address any issues related to loan payments, restructuring, or modifications.Compliance & Market Awareness :
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and institutional lending regulations.Stay informed about market trends, interest rates, and competitive lending products.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and closing.Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.Exper
ience : Minimum of 3 years in commercial lending as a loan officer or credit analyst.Strong knowledge of financial analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Familiarity with banking regulations and loan compliance requirements.Proficiency in financial software and CRM tools.Desired Qualifications and Professional Qualities :
Formal corporate credit and relationship management training.Existing portfolio of commercial lending clients and strong business network.Industry-specific knowledge and experience in CRE, IRE, C&I, SBA, ABL, Equipment Finance, and Consumer Lending.Benefits :
