Job Summary:
Cheyenne State Bank is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial and Consumer Loan Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and managing loan applications from origination to closing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with loan officers and borrowers to complete loan origination file documentation.
- Process and review loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Process requests for credit reports and collateral documentation.
- Maintain communication with borrowers and third-party vendors (appraisers, title companies, etc.) to facilitate loan closings.
- Prepare and submit loan documentation for review.
- Ensure all loan files comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and track loan progress and management in the system and files.
- Provide administrative support to loan officers and management as needed.
- Provide customer support for business and loan customers.
- Open commercial and consumer checking and savings accounts when required.
- Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly loan team reports.
Required Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in loan processing, banking, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of loan processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and consumer loan products and regulations.
- Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications and Professional Qualities:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Fiserv Core and LaserPro loan servicing system.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Strong customer service skills with experience managing complex banking transactions.
- Ability to educate and guide customers on digital banking and mobile banking options.
- Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to identify potential fraud or high-risk accounts and take appropriate action.
- Well-organized, independent, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
