What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN | Infusion Nurse -Full Time (M-Thurs) position at Chi Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates?
We are needing to add a versatile and compassionate RN to our clinical team. This nurse will be trained in both the Infusion and Clinic RN roles.
An infusion nurse is a resource, advocate, and collaborator. Our infusion therapy patients are seen on a routine basis, as most are given their medications every 4-8 weeks. Because of the frequency of their needed medications, our staff develops a strong bond with them, and our infusion nurse becomes the face of our practice for many of them.
Infusion nurses ensure that patients receiving intravenous (IV) therapy receive care that is appropriate for the therapy ordered, from choosing an appropriate infusion device to the management of that device as well as monitoring and evaluating the patient’s response to the IV therapy.
We know that it takes a nurse that is skilled with IV insertion and infusion techniques to be a good infusion nurse. We also know that the softer skills of patient care, like listening and caring, are of upmost importance.
This employee will also be cross-trained to assist in other nursing roles within the clinic for back-up purposes.
We are currently infusing at all 5 of our locations: Little Rock, North Little Rock, Hot Springs, Russellville and Fayetteville.
