The medical-surgical unit at Good Samaritan Hospital is a 24-bed dedicated unit that cares for a variety of patients including general surgery, medsurg, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine.
Compensation: Base rate shift differential
Incentives:up to $25,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)
Nurse Residency offered for all New Graduates
Responsibilities
- Except to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
- Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact.
- Basic life support thorugh American Heart Assoiciation is required upon hire.
