Supervisory
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
- Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
- Leads and directs accounting professionals and support team.

- Manages various accounting functions including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting.
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Evaluates and makes improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Has a degree in accounting with 5 years of experience.
- 1-3 years senior manager experience required.
- CPA certification preferred, but not necessary
- Has advanced skills in Microsoft 365 Suite of products including: Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Google Apps.
- Has exceptional data management and system design and development experience and ability to develop SQL and relational databases. Experience with Tableau, MongoDB, or other equivalent data management, reporting and presentation tools is a strong plus.
- Has excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to lead a team of professionals with a “hands on” and everyone contributes mindset.
- Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical success attributes.
- In-office setting, no remote or hybrid option
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing and working.
- Manual dexterity in order to perform job-related tasks.
- Exposure to heat and cold.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at time.
