Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregons scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. Responsibilities
As a Charge Nurse on the Medical Floor you will work collaboratively with the leadership team, department staff, physicians and interdisciplinary and ancillary staff to support day-to-day operations and patient care.
Essential Duties:
- Functions as a Clinical Resource to staff in the management of complex patients, procedures and situations.
- Mentors, coaches, and supports team members to meet patient and unit needs, gain skills and effectively adapt to change.
- Performs basic skills of all staff reporting to Charge Nurse during shift including Unit Secretary, CNAs and RNs.
- Rounds on staff and patients.
- Demonstrates appropriate staffing decisions that match assessed patient needs with nurse competencies.
Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm
Core Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Mon, Tue; Week 1 Tue, Fri, Sat; Week 3 Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 4 Mon, Tue, Wed
Qualifications
License/Certification:
- Current RN license issued by the State of Oregon.
- American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience as an RN on the Medical Floor preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience in the area of specialty preferred
- PICC line or Powerglide line competency preferred.
Education:
- Associates degree in Nursing required
Pay Range
$57.17 - $77.49 /hour
