Responsibilities
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Materials Management Manager, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and shipping of supplies. Receives incoming shipments, unloads, and unpacks shipments and verifies contents with the purchase order. Ships outgoing packages with proper return authorization if needed. Responsible for delivery of all supplies shipped to the facility. Maintains storeroom in a clean and orderly condition. Assists in physical inventory.
Essential Duties:
- Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributors/vendors and assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
- Uses dollies, forklifts and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom.
- Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments, contacting buyer to resolve shipment discrepancies and processing returns for any defective or incorrect items.
- Stores, restocks and shelves delivery items as necessary and ensures that stockroom is clean and organized.
- Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location.
- Maintains records of all received shipment and contacts distributors/vendors directly or works with buyer to inquire about any shipment issues.
- Addresses and answers clinical staff inquiries about pending orders and shipments.
Qualifications
License/Certification:
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license with a driving record clear of any chargeable accidents involving negligence within the previous 36 months; more than 2 moving violations in the previous 12 months; more than 4 moving violations in the previous 36 months; any felony conviction related to the operation of a motor vehicle; and any D.W.I./D.U.I.I. conviction.
Experience:
- Two (2) years supply chain related experience or other relevant experience preferred.
- Hospital experience preferred.
- Forklift/pallet jack operation experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay Range
$17.46 - $24.01 /hour
