What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Support Services position at CHI Oakes Hospital?
This position contributes to the Mission and Vision of CHI Oakes Hospital and CHI Lisbon Health by serving as a leader with oversight of the day to day activities of the Ancillary Departments in both locations. Provides leadership support to plan, organize and lead resources with assigned team members. Participates in operationalizing CHI Health Strategic Initiatives and priorities. Serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of principles consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Commitments of CHI Oakes Hospital and CHI Lisbon Health.
CHI Oakes Hospital is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007 replacing a 50-year old building and in 2010 Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization CommonSpirit Health.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction for the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, retention and recognition of excellence in the ancillary departments.
- Oversees day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of department leaders.
- Supports and collaborates with department leaders to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
- Oversees department performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback and recognition, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to our work and our commitments using corrective action.
- Oversees quality of patient care. Reviews and follows up on incident reports. Makes timely recommendations for improvements and revisions. Provides education to staff as needed. Collaborates with department leaders to implement actionable performance improvement.
- Oversees patient care delivery to maximize patient/family satisfaction and minimize risk of injury or negative outcomes to patients or employees. Directs staff during emergency situations. Acts as an advocate for patients and family members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience.
- Healthcare Clinical Experience Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.
Pay Range
$43.76 - $63.45 /hour
