As our Clinical Nursing Manager of the Telemetry/Med-Surg and Critical Care Team at CHI St. Alexius Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you’ll oversee a department of frontline nurses and act as the conduit between these caregivers and leadership teams. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the nursing staff as we constantly seek to improve patient experiences, reach out to our community, and deliver quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck is looking for a Clinical Nursing Manager to join the Critical Care Team!
This role will work in collaboration with another Clinical Nursing Manager of Critical Care, to oversee ICU and telemetry.
- Oversee a department of nurses, ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
- Engage with the floor. Talk to the nurses, the patients, and families. Keep your finger on the pulse of your department so you can keep things running smoothly.
- Manages the resources and daily activities of the nursing department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care.
- Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members.
- Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others. Build them into potential nurse managers like yourself.
- Coordinates the activities of the unit during a particular shift and directs, organizes and assigns work to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR Master’s Degree in Nursing and no experience
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse License in North Dakota or compact state license.
- BLS certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR/PRO, must say “Professional Level-with AED,” and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required upon hire.
