Shift : 10, 12-hour days, typically 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday; may rotate weekend shifts (approx. 2-3 hours on weekends)
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

License : Yes, RD License
Certifications : BLS, Registered Dietitian
Must-Have : Knowledge of inpatient RD acuity, charting, ASPEN guidelines, dialysis
Job Description :
- Involvement in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including dialysis and long-term care contracts.
- Handle a caseload of 10-15 patient consults per day.
- Work with patients with common diagnoses such as diabetes, renal disease, acute inpatient med / surg type, outpatient dialysis assessments, and long-term care contracts for monthly / quarterly assessments.
- Clinical nutrition roles do not include dietary / nutrition aids but may involve patient meal ordering / printing.
- Use of the EMR system : Epic
- Scheduling allows for self-scheduling and block scheduling if agreed upon by RDs.
- Weekend requirement is every third weekend if needed, requiring only 2-3 hours on one weekend day (choose Saturday or Sunday).
- Dress code is business casual.
- Orientation includes pertinent charting, hospital orientation, and understanding of policies / procedures.
- Remote work is possible through a hospital partnership.
