Responsibilities
- Collaborate with providers to develop and implement standards of care for select patient populations.
- Functions as a liaison between staff, physicians, social workers, mental health staff, dieticians, and patients/families for patients by assessing, securing, and coordinating appropriate services regarding weight loss care.
- Evaluates patient care according to pre-established patient care standards.
- Establishes nutrition protocols for post-operative patients.
- Coordinates post-operative follow up care in the outpatient clinic.
- Collects and organizes data from patient care paths, clinical documentation, contacts
- with patients.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
- 1 year related experience in a clinic, specialty clinic or acute hospital setting
- 2 years experience in obesity disease management and/or weight loss surgery preferred
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Registered Nurse: North Dakota or Compact License.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card - CPR.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral communication.
- Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning: Ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve problems.
- Computer skills: Ability to operate and navigate applicable computer programs.
- Clinical ability: Ability to demonstrate competency in job related functions according to organizational standards.
Pay Range
$27.84 - $40.36 /hour
Salary : $28 - $40
