Responsibilities
- Provides spiritual support for inpatients, outpatients, relatives of patients, and staff members.
- Empathizes and prays with the ill, the dying patients, and their families.
- Provides for follow-up visits as needed.
- Confers with medical and nursing staff in regards to the spiritual needs of patients.
- Partners with the broader community to meet spiritual and emotional needs.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the sacramental and spiritual needs of patients, families, staff, and community.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in a theological discipline such as theology, pastoral ministry, or related field. Successful completion of at least four units of approved Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Three years pastoral experience, and at least one year experience in a health care setting
- NACC Certification of Standing/Affiliation with NACC - CHAPLAIN, or APC board certified chaplain – BCC-APC.
Pay Range
$21.23 - $29.20 /hour
