As our Lead Biomedical Technician (BMET) at Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley in West Jordan, Utah, a part of the CommonSpirit Health network, you’ll support patient care by assuring important medical equipment is working properly and accurately. This role allows for health care teams to confidently leverage diagnostic equipment when needed because of the work you do through a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.
With minimal supervision this position provides assistance to the CE Manager in administering the daily operations of the shop. This position provides repair, incoming inspection, calibration and maintenance services to equipment in a healthcare environment.
Located in West Jordan, UT, Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley, now a part of the CommonSpirit Health system, houses 303 beds to serve our growing community. We also invested substantially in advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment, which has attracted our top-notch medical staff and a team of highly skilled nurses. Our entire hospital team is dedicated to providing expert whole person care in a warm, family-friendly environment. Clinical Engineering manages 3000 pieces of equipment to support the hospitals and associated clinics mission of healing individuals, uplifting communities.

- In conjunction with the CE Manager, interacts daily with hospital department managers, equipment users, physicians, and administrative staff concerning service usage issues.
- Communicates daily with CE Manager and effectively handles all service emergencies.
- Provides coverage and support for CE Manager during manager’s absence if needed.
- Maintains life support equipment.
- Provides technical support and assistance to Clinical Engineering technicians.
- Repairs and maintains medical equipment under contract and performs BMET I and BMET II duties and functions as required.
- Maintains equipment repair records for medical equipment under contract.
- Assists in ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of medical equipment.
- Provides input to the CE Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
- Valid Driver's License required
- CBET, CRES, CLES, or CHTM preferred
$33.52 - $48.60 /hour
Salary : $34 - $49
