Under the direction of the health care provider, the phlebotomist contributes to the delivery of patient care that promotes the well-being and safety of all patients and staff.

Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
Under the direction of the health care provider, the phlebotomist contributes to the delivery of patient care that promotes the well-being and safety of all patients and staff.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis using procedures consistent with safe work practices and proper laboratory techniques, while maintaining the integrity of specimens.
- Performs patient point of care testing.
- Ensures required safety checklists and quality controls are completed and action taken if indicated.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Assocation required upon hire
- At least 1 year of previous phlebotomist experience strongly preferred but not required
$15.15 - $20.84 /hour
Salary : $15 - $21
