Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the licensed physical therapist to conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, deliver treatment, and provide education, all in alignment with state and professional practice standards.
- Work closely within a team to create and implement coordinated care plans, ensuring accountability and progress toward achieving patient goals.
- Maintain proficiency in documentation and billing, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate expertise in applying quality metrics to evaluate and improve practice, regularly participating in team meetings to discuss program effectiveness and performance enhancements.
- Provide guidance and oversight to physical therapy technicians, ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Commit to staying informed on the latest evidence-based practices and research, offering professional insights and support to colleagues in the field.
- Support the organization’s academic mission by supervising student clinical education, under the guidance of the physical therapist.
- Complete all mandatory training in patient safety, quality, security, and infection control within the designated timeframes, consistently demonstrating a high level of competence in daily duties.
