Job Description:
The Shipping and Receiving Manager is responsible for the safe and timely receipt, processing, and storage of all incoming materials. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials are received in compliance with all company policies and procedures. The Receiving Manager will also be responsible for the safe and timely processing of all outgoing materials. This is a morning shift.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the safe and timely receipt, processing, and storage of all incoming materials.
- Responsible for the safe and timely processing of all outgoing materials.
- Responsible for making sure the shop is organized.
- Ensure that all warehouse policies and procedures are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensures that all shipping information is entered on daily shipping spreadsheets such as incoming orders
- Ensures that all orders have proper labels.
- Assures that all trucks are loaded with orders in a timely manner.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by upper management.
- Manages the shipping department such as assigning task and making sure those task are complete
- Assist shipping associates with their task
- Make proper paperwork for jobs (routers, BOL, pick list)
- Schedule trucks
- Reports to head of shipping
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 year experience as a Shipping Manager
- Must speak Spanish and English
- Must be certified to operate machining such as Forklifts.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on oral written communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills in areas such as inventory control and material handling.
- Must know computer basics and Excel basics.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Strong management skills .
Please note that this is not a fulltime office job. It will be expected of you to be active on the floor and help when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
