Job Title : Wastewater Operator
Schedule : Monday-Friday from 6 : 00am-4 : 00pm
Responsibilities :
Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and processes.
Conduct regular checks and tests to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Manage and maintain accurate records of treatment processes and results.
Respond to process alarms and perform corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues affecting wastewater treatment processes.
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed and report any potential hazards to management.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment equipment.
Provide training and support to team members as needed.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
Prior experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of chemical treatment processes and environmental compliance regulations.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to obtain an Illinois Class K Industrial Wastewater Treatment Certificate (company may assist with certification process).
Basic computer skills for logging data and generating reports.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Current Illinois Class K Wastewater Treatment Certification.
Experience working in metal finishing, anodizing, or plating industries.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
- There will be a 90-day probationary period
