Job Description

The Metal Fabricator will use a press brake and saws to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
• Operate saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts as per specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and machinery, including plasma cutting equipment, stamping presses, lathes, and CNC machines as needed.
• Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
• Use plate roll to roll materials for welding.
• Conduct routine maintenance on saws and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures and angle finder to verify dimensions of cut materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine cutting requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Ability to:
  • Read tape measure.
  • Follow instructions.
  • Read, interpret, and follow product plans.
• Be mechanically inclined.
• Basic computer and math skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds at a time
