Job Description
The Metal Fabricator will use a press brake and saws to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
- Operate saws and cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts as per specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery, including plasma cutting equipment, stamping presses, lathes, and CNC machines as needed.
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
- Use plate roll to roll materials for welding.
- Conduct routine maintenance on saws and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures and angle finder to verify dimensions of cut materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine cutting requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Ability to:
- Read tape measure.
- Follow instructions.
- Read, interpret, and follow product plans.
- Be mechanically inclined.
- Basic computer and math skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds at a time
