Responsibility Summary
The Marketing & Communications Specialist will establish and implement ChicagoCAC’s marketing, communications, media relations and social media efforts to increase stakeholder engagement, strengthen the ChicagoCAC brand and expand overall visibility of ChicagoCAC’s mission. In partnership with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer (CDMO) and the Director of Development (DOD), this individual will drive the marketing and communications efforts for the agency. She / he / they works closely with internal staff, key leadership, design consultants and interns to establish materials and communications for the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center’s programs and fundraising initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities : (60% of the role)
- Work with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer and Director of Development to create content and provide editing for organization-wide marketing efforts, including social media, website, annual report, internal and external newsletters, email marketing, and print collateral.
- Develop and manage ChicagoCAC’s marketing and communications strategy.
- Work with program leaders to capture stories that highlight and bring additional awareness of ChicagoCAC efforts.
- Respond to and assist staff with marketing needs to ensure alignment with ChicagoCAC branding and support internal staff communications as assigned.
- Work closely with contractual graphic designer and website administrator on projects to ensure consistency with ChicagoCAC brand and identity.
- Drive audience segmentation and targeting for email campaigns; compiling email lists and purging email lists. identify target audience and appropriate contacts for email outreach and campaigns. manage segmented audience lists
- Monitor metrics and make recommendations to improve stakeholder engagement.
- Keeps abreast of best practices, trends, tools and techniques related to marketing.
- Ensure best practice stewardship to external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Event Fundraising Support : (40% of the role)
Discretion
The Marketing & Communications Specialist has a mid-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise Marketing interns yearly.
Relationships
The Marketing & Communications Specialist closely with the Chief Development & Marketing Officer, Director of Development, the Marketing & Development team, and members of the ChicagoCAC staff.
