What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Supervisor position at Chicago Cubs?
Responsibilities
- Serves as Security subject matter expert for assigned shift on Cubs policies and procedures and their application to security scenarios.
- Responsible for access control and ensures timely investigation of trespass incidents to ensure only authorized activities are conducted on Cubs property utilizing the legal methods as outlined in Cubs policies and procedures
- Escalates all activities that would be deemed of interest, concern or importance regarding Cubs property or personnel to the Senior Supervisor, Security Operations.
- Serves as an integral part of the Security Operations Leadership team, attending weekly meetings with the Leadership group, and facilitating weekly meetings with direct reports.
- Submits well-written, comprehensive incident reports outlining facts to include witness statements, associated persons, vehicle details, police reports, location, camera footage, timeline, summary/narrative and resolutions
- Maintains order on the property with positive customer service in dealing with guests, visitors, associates and contractors/vendors
- Schedules and manages full-time and part-time security associates and contractors to ensure proper execution of security protocol and standards, including timekeeping, disciplinary processes, and serving as the Security leader for all shifts worked
Qualifications
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- At least 3 years of Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security experience, with at least two years in a leadership capacity
- Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, deliver effective results and consistently meet tight deadlines and targets
- Understands the need for information integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely information
- An effective communicator, both orally and written with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Visitor Management and Credentialing systems
