Program Overview:
Chicago DBT Institute (CDBTI) is a well-respected, premiere private practice providing outstanding comprehensive DBT clinical services on the beautiful North Shore of the Chicago suburbs. CDBTI is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Program, the first certified program in Illinois, and currently one of very few certified programs in the country. Dr. Kay Segal, the Certified Team Lead is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician. Several other Clinicians at CDBTI are DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinicians. These honors demonstrate that our program and clinicians deliver comprehensive DBT with fidelity to the treatment model, demonstrating our commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our clients.
Chicago DBT provides a full array of DBT services for children (7 ), adolescents, and adults presenting with disorders of emotion dysregulation. Patients in our program typically have complex clinical presentations and long treatment histories. Presentations of these disorders can vary with symptoms including: depression, anxiety, acting out behaviors, constant conflict in relationships, emotional instability, impulsivity, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, school refusal, eating disorders, substance abuse, and/or post-traumatic stress disorder.
Job Description:
CDBTI is actively seeking Masters level, Postdoctoral fellows, and/or Doctoral level clinicians to join our wonderful, cohesive team. Responsibilities include running weekly skills training groups, conducting individual and family DBT therapy sessions, 24/7 phone coaching (coaching duties are assigned on a week-long on call basis, responsibility for call occurs every few months), and participation in a consultation team. Clinicians may also elect to participate in supplemental offerings provided by CDBTI including: Parent Training, DBT for Addiction, DBT for Children, Mindfulness Training, DBT for college students, DBT STEPS-A for school settings, and DBT graduate groups. This is a full time, 5-days per week clinical position. The work week is Sunday through Thursday, with weeknight hours required to serve our clients’ needs.
CDBTI values providing unique clinical opportunities to build strong, competent clinicians who are highly skilled in providing DBT with fidelity to the treatment model. Unlicensed clinicians and those new to providing comprehensive DBT will receive weekly individual supervision from Dr. Meredith Quarello, DBT-LBC. All CDBTI staff are required to attend a Behavioral Tech Foundational Training in DBT (paid for by CDBTI).
Benefits:
Compensation is based on a split-fee for billed services model. The average first year income is approximately $65K - $90K . Other benefits include fantastic health, dental, and vision insurance, and Simple IRA matching. Participation in our lunch and learn programs provides most of the required CEs needed for licensed clinicians (and free lunch once per week). Clinicians are provided with extensive support during the licensure and individual DBT certification process. Staff can also participate in our in-house mindfulness and yoga classes.
