Regulatory Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in alignment with applicable laws and standards.
- Regulator Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, addressing inquiries, providing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit and Examination Support: Collaborate with external auditors and examiners during reviews and audits, providing requested data and ensuring full compliance with guidelines.
- Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and submission of financial statements and related reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay current on evolving regulatory requirements and accounting standards, ensuring that all reporting processes adhere to updated guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in regulatory reporting or accounting within the financial services industry
- Knowledge of the futures market.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting or financial reporting software.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards.
- Experience working with regulators, external auditors, and examiners, with a proven ability to manage audits and examinations effectively.
- This is a hybrid position working part of the week at the client’s Chicago office.
