Hotel Maintenance Worker - Key Responsibilities
As a Hotel Maintenance Worker at our Chicago Marriott Northwest in Hoffman Estates, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests. As the Hotel Maintenance Worker, you will manage the physical aspects of a hotel, including :
Routine Maintenance:
This includes tasks like changing light bulbs, repairing door locks, and touching up paint, as well as more complex issues like fixing plumbing leaks or faulty electrical outlets.
Preventative Maintenance:
This involves regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment to prevent breakdowns, such as checking HVAC systems, elevators, and other essential systems.
Emergency Repairs:
Maintenance workers are often on call to address urgent issues, such as fixing a burst pipe or a malfunctioning electrical system.
HVAC System Maintenance:
Ensuring the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are functioning correctly, which includes servicing units, setting optimal temperatures, and addressing any issues.
Electrical System Maintenance:
Inspecting electrical systems, fixing faulty wiring or outlets, and ensuring that all lighting systems are working properly.
Plumbing System Maintenance:
Addressing issues like leaks, faulty faucets, and blocked pipes.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintaining and repairing various equipment, such as laundry machines, kitchen appliances, and other hotel-specific systems.
Building Structure Maintenance:
This includes tasks like repairing walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, as well as ensuring the overall safety and structural integrity of the hotel.
Groundskeeping:
Maintaining the exterior of the hotel, including landscaping, cleaning pathways, and addressing any issues with the surrounding grounds.
Guest Assistance:
Responding to guest requests for repairs, providing assistance with technical issues, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
Safety Inspections:
Performing routine safety checks to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
