Our restaurant is seeking a passionate, skilled chef to create delicious Indian Cuisines for our patrons. You will be responsible for planning our menu, ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective, and collaborating with a team of kitchen staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards.

Chicago Marriott Northwest is looking to hire a outstanding Indian Chef. Our restaurant is seeking a passionate, skilled chef to create delicious Indian Cuisines for our clients. You will be responsible for planning our menu, ensuring that each dish is delectable and cost-effective, while collaborating with a team of kitchen staff to deliver a product that meets the highest quality standards.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Train and develop sous chefs and other kitchen staff.
- Enforce health and safety standards and ensure adherence to sanitation protocols.
Food Production and Quality:
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director in menu planning, recipe development, and culinary innovation.
- Monitor kitchen inventory, control costs, and facilitate efficient ordering of supplies.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain open communication with the Food & Beverage Director and other kitchen staff.
Other Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing kitchen policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director
Indiana Chef Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven cooking and managing experience in a professional kitchen setting. A minimum of 8 years in the hotel industry
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Indian food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Education: A degree from a culinary school or equivalent experience is preferred. A minimum of 5 years working experience.
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain composure under pressure.
