Chicago Ornamental Iron, Inc./COI Company is located in Chicago, IL 60632. We are full service ASIC certified metal fabricator and erector.

The company works on most of the premier projects in the Chicagoland area.

The individual will be exposed to both a manufacturing and construction environment.

Experience/duties/expectations:

Substantial Experience with Construction accounting- % of completion & Force accounting methods

Experience in all accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, billing, receivables, general ledger, waivers, and union reports

Experience in creating and updating Work in Process Report (WIP)

Ability to input union reports

Experience managing and training staff

Ability to design and maintain effective internal controls.

Ability to effectively manage General Ledger

Ability to provide internal consulting, process improvement, performance evaluations

Ability to provide accurate and timely financial reporting

Ability to work with CPA/Auditors

Manage and maintain financing, banking, bonding relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills/interpersonal skills

Proficient in major software programs, i.e. Excel & QB

Willing to “roll up sleeves” when necessary to meet deadlines and goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• GAAP: 5 years (Preferred)
• Construction Accounting/WIP Management: 4 years (Required)
