The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) works to support networks, schools, and families with all issues related to special education including instruction, interventions, and legal and compliance support. Job Summary :
Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the OSD Resource Data Analyst operates primarily in the following functional areas :
- Operations and Administration

- Contract School Special Education Budgets
The OSD Resource Data Analystwill be held accountable for the following responsibilities :
Develop and manage the position allocation model for district-managed schools, including analyzing trends in allocations, managing appeals processes, and evaluating the impact of related expenditures on both the office and district budget.
Support the position appeal process, maintaining protocols to forecast position needs, track related expenditures, and helping ensure effective allocation of resources in alignment with budget priorities.
Conduct detailed budget analysis and monitoring for the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) by tracking personnel and non-personnel costs, identifying spending trends, forecasting future allocations under various staffing scenarios, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
Analyze non-personnel expenditures and grant funding within the assigned budget area(s) to determine effectiveness, identify opportunities for savings or increased revenue, and assist with financial reporting and projections.
Collaborate with department leaders to monitor budget variations and address financial pressures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, revenue enhancements, and potential risks while explaining changes and opportunities to stakeholders throughout the fiscal year.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all programs within assigned budget areas, analyzing their purpose, effectiveness, staffing models, participant demographics, service delivery methods, and resource allocations and presenting findings through detailed reports and recommendations.
Utilize the district’s financial systems to ensure budget accuracy and reporting efficiency, managing processes to load budgets, track expenditures, and handle necessary financial actions in a timely and effective manner.
