Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Manager of Summer Bridge & Acceleration, the Part-Time / Temporary Summer Bridge Program Support role will assist the Summer Bridge Program team with managing requests and inquiries received through the Summer Assistance hotline. This part-time / temporary position will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 20 hours per week for an anticipated period of ~4 months beginning May 2024, and ending August 2024. Due to the part-time / temporary nature of this work, this is not a benefit-eligible position. To be qualified for this role, the candidate must be a retired school administrator with valid ISBE licensure.
The Part-Time / Temporary Summer Bridge Program Support role will be held accountable for the following responsibilities :
- Support inquiries of determination of the district's elementary summer promotion appeal process in alignment with the district's elementary promotion policy resolution;
- Adhere to the Summer Bridge Assistance team flowchart and protocols;
- Coordinate all reviews and decision reports of submitted parental appeals;
- Act as the point of contact for parent and school inquiries, collecting necessary information, tracking inquiries, and providing all necessary stakeholders with resolutions to identified challenges;
- Support and collaborate with fellow Summer Bridge Program Support employees, sharing knowledge and resources to ensure access to necessary information when finding resolutions;
- Other duties as assigned
