What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional position at Chicago Public Schools?
Key Responsibilities:
Provide counseling services to students in general and special education programs using individual, group, and classroom methodologies.
Perform diagnostic assessments for students needing initial evaluations, re-evaluations or special evaluations.
Develop and implement intervention and prevention programs to reduce at-risk students and collaborate with community agencies.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to identify students who require additional support.
Working Conditions:
This is a Light Work role that requires occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, and negligible exertion of force constantly to move objects.
