Responsibilities include didactic teaching and coordination of the History of Pharmacy course. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of one year of recent pharmacy practice experience or the equivalent; past pharmacy related teaching experience, and eligibility for Illinois state licensure. All candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. In addition, a commitment to student-centered education and active learning is desired.
PharmD degree from an accredited College or School of Pharmacy.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
A minimum of one year practice experience or the equivalent, past pharmacy related teaching experience, and eligibility for Illinois state licensure. All candidates should exhibit strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. In addition, a commitment to student-centered education and demonstrable promotion and enhancement of diversity is required. Pharmacy practice experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using modern teaching approaches that incorporate active learning is desirable.
