Job Description: As a Commercial Escrow Assistant, you will be working alongside a team of escrow officers, title professionals, and underwriters with decades of combined experience closing complex commercial real estate transactions. Your role will be instrumental in providing critical support to escrow officers in navigating the complexities of commercial real estate transactions. This role supports all aspects of the escrow process including preparing important documents, providing exceptional customer service through effective communication with various transaction parties, managing the transaction process and timeline, and completing associated administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during the escrow process.
• Assist in monitoring email traffic and corresponding directly with buyers, sellers, lenders, and other involved parties to collect required information and documentation.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining open items lists to keep transactions moving towards the desired closing date by reviewing relevant transactional documents and email monitoring.
• Assist with disbursement of funds at closing by verifying wire instructions, data entry and collection.
• Monitor transaction timelines to ensure title updates and lead time items required for closing are received or in process.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications and Traits of a Successful Escrow Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in real estate, finance, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
• Previous experience in escrow, title, or real estate industries is beneficial but not required.
• Strong organizational skills paired with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proven ability to learn new software and technology.
• Obtaining a Title License with the Ohio Department of Insurance will be required upon employment.

Work Environment:

• Office-based in our Pepper Pike office with dedicated parking and an exceptional team environment.
• Occasional overtime may be required to meet transaction deadlines.

Additional Information:

• Salary ranges for this role may vary depending on the experience, typically ranging from $22.00 – $26.00 per hour.
