Assists with the ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and security of materials utilizing warehouse inventory systems. |

Inspects, counts, weighs and organizes incoming materials to verify descriptions and quantities received utilizing RFID Scanning and warehouse inventory systems. |

Operates a variety of material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists and cranes to move materials. |
3 |
Loads and unloads material, transports and places materials into proper locations. |
4 |
Picks, packages and ships materials to various locations. |
5 |
Secures materials being shipped or stored to pallets, within containers, etc. |
6 |
Assembles materials into kit form. |
7 |
Maintains the facility, equipment, and materials in a clean, neat and orderly manner. |
8 |
Operates equipment including: balers, shredders and compactors in the disposal of waste materials. |
9 |
Assists in performing inventory counts and rotating stock. |
10 |
Prints new bin location labels as required. |
11 |
Performs other duties as assigned. |

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Required to lift, carry, and maneuver material weighing up to 100 pounds. * Required to extensively walk, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, lift, and climb. * Must be able to see near when reviewing documents or far to locate stock material, lot numbers, etc., and have color vision to identify certain parts and materials. * Chicago Transit Authority requires all employees to be COVID-19 vaccinated. WORKING CONDITIONS
* May be required to work adjacent to energized power rails. * Exposed to dirt, dust, loud noise, and all weather conditions. * Exposed to extreme cold when working on or near dock in winter. * Exposed to extreme heat when working on or near dock in summer. * Exposed to noise from overhead blowers; heater motors. * Exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes from running engines of trucks on dock; oil room, odors from dock area; oil room; and dust within warehouse facilities; on shelves and racks. |
