POSITION SUMMARY
Receives, stores and maintains materials used to supply maintenance activities at assigned locations. Note : Incumbents may be promoted to Stockroom Clerk II per the family of jobs agreement.
Qualifications
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects incoming materials to verify descriptions and quantities against available records.
- Loads and unloads materials from vehicles.
- Transports materials throughout maintenance shop, yard and other storage areas, and between repair locations.
- Operates hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, hoists, slings, van, etc. to move materials.
- Accesses computerized and manual inventory control systems to check availability and status and to take appropriate action.
- Orders stock, non-stock and stockless materials to meet the maintenance requirements.
- Ensures the proper tagging of defective materials.
- Participates in the planning of seasonal or campaign related material need.
- Cleans stockroom areas and maintains location according to guidelines.
- Performs inventory counts.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary : $26,605 - $41,749
