The ideal sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at generating leads, be adept at cultivating relationships, swiftly execute against a sales plan and have a demonstrated ability to close deals. We are looking for a quick learner with strong negotiating skills complementing an ability to showcase our services in a compelling way. Objectives of this Role
- Represent our products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding of what we do and the value we can offer to identify how our solutions meet needs
- Meet monthly and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales strategies and tactics
- Generate leads and build relationships, planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on or visit potential sales outlets
- Quickly adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field and management-delivered data analysis of effort(s)
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Develop relationships to ensure identification of potential new sales opportunities
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
- Deliver professional, complete, concise and compelling sales pitches for buyers up to for executive-level
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-4 years in sales within a finance, software (SaaS or IT) or 3PL/Logistics/Operational setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with sales management software and CRM
- Personal integrity
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time locally in the Chicagoland area to meet with customers
- Proven success rate at levels above quotas
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
