OVERVIEW:
The Chicago White Sox are adding to our Guest Services & Training team. We are looking for an experienced manager with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in training development and presentation and supervision of a guest relations team. This role has three primary concentrations: management of our Diamond Suite operations, training of gameday staff, and guest services. The ideal candidate will have a background in event and hospitality management (preferably in a stadium or arena environment), with an emphasis on staff training and development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In collaboration with the Senior Director, conceptualize and implement all guest relations and facility training for 2200 day of game team members.
- Develop outlines and PowerPoint Presentations
- Oversee all logistics, including scheduling across all partner companies.
- Monitor all specialized certifications to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Select and manage seasonal training staff.
- Select, train, and schedule the day of game diamond suite staff members. Provide continual training and evaluations of the staff throughout the season.
- Function as the liaison between the catering partner, suite holders and the team to ensure excellent service, prompt resolution of service and/or maintenance issues.
- Respond to all guest comments, complaints or special requests and record all correspondence in CRM database for follow-up.
- Provide year-end summary of guest reports, including complaints, comments, and compliments.
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree in hospitality or recreation management or related field
- 3 years of full-time, guest relations/services experience
- 1 year of direct supervisory experience
- Strong presentation skills are a must; the candidate must be comfortable speaking and presenting to large groups (in excess of one hundred people).
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Detail orientated, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must be comfortable working with all staff levels, from senior management to day of game personnel
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word a must
- Knowledge of CRM, 24/7 and ADP Payroll a plus
- Must be available to work nights and weekends (based on the home baseball schedule)
COMPENSATION:
- $70,000 - $75,000
