What are the responsibilities and job description for the STREET TEAM AMBASSADOR position at Chicago White Sox?
OVERVIEW:
The White Sox Marketing Department is looking for candidates interested in joining our 2025 Street Team. This is a part-time position perfect for college students or anyone excited to work in the sport industry. You’ll represent the White Sox at events throughout Chicagoland, such as the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade, NASCAR Street Race, and Taste of Randolph Street. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about baseball, possess superior customer service skills, and thrive in social settings. This position is a great resume-builder for individuals looking to break into the sports industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the White Sox and amplify key moments and initiatives for the brand in an authentic and meaningful way
- Execute successful marketing activations at events throughout the Chicagoland area (i.e. street fairs, parades, and festivals)
- Interact with the community as an ambassador to promote the team with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times
- Set-up, operation, and tear-down of activation spaces
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Be the embodiment of the White Sox baseball, engaging with event attendees to promote our team and create positive brand experiences.
- Fierce attention to detail, extremely reliable and never afraid to speak up
- Initiate and maintain positive interactions with event attendees, distributing promotional materials, and fostering a welcoming environment in a large crowd
- An interest in and knowledge of the Chicago White Sox, including the ability to communicate the excitement and unique aspects of our team to current and potential fans
- Available to work a flexible schedule with weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays required. Must commit to working a minimum two events per month from March – September 2025. Shifts may last anywhere from 2-10 hours, depending on the event.
- Must have access to a car or reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, must be able to be mobile for extended periods of time, ability to speak Spanish is a bonus
