At Chicane Restaurant We Celebrate Cuisine – Concerts – Cocktails by slowing the pace and taking the turns a bit more slowly by offering an elegantly appointed dining room with quality live entertainment while taking you on a culinary Chicane one turn at a time.
Position Summary:
The culinary culture at Chicane Restaurant is a belief in creating an exceptional dining experience by sourcing the freshest, highest quality ingredients sourced from local and responsible purveyors. The Garde Manger will be an important link in the team’s commitment to achieving these goals.
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for the preparation of salad and appetizers including salads, cheeses, charcutier, and other menu items.
· Good comminuby the Executive Chef.
· Assigned workstation has proper levels of par stocks and supplies according to daily production sheets.
· All work areas are kept clean, including refrigeration units and storage areas adhering to safety and health department standards.
· Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
· Effective communication with all members of the staff including culinary staff, waitstaff and management.
· Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff members
· Practice continuous professional self-development being aware of current culinary trends and techniques.
Qualifications:
· Previous Garde Manger experience or similar position.
· Experience in upscale or fine dining establishment (2 years preferred).
· Culinary Degree or equivalent preferred.
· Demonstrate knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
