CPLC De Colores is hiring for a bilingual Recovery and Resiliency Coordinator! CPLC De Colores provides a safe, secure place for families to heal from the traumatizing effects of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. Shelter and community-based services meet survivors where they are to help them discover their strengths and regain their freedom.

The De Colores Shelter provides emergency housing, case management, legal and housing advocacy, support groups, transportation, youth services, housing and employment support, and referrals to other resources. The shelter is pet-friendly and welcomes survivors of all backgrounds and identities. We offer nurturing spaces for survivors and their families to heal, including a meditation room, a garden, and a special area for youth activities.

Position Summary

As the Recovery and Resiliency Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting families impacted by domestic violence on their journey to recovery, resilience, and independence at De Colores Domestic Violence Shelter. This rewarding role involves direct advocacy and support for survivors of domestic violence, connecting them to vital community resources and guiding them through essential recovery services. With your skills in case management, crisis intervention, and family advocacy, you’ll help clients regain stability and empower them towards independence.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide compassionate support to families in crisis, helping them access resources and supportive services tailored to their unique journeys.
  • Advocate for domestic violence survivors and support them through structured case management and personalized assistance, workshops, economic empowerment, self-esteem and healing groups.
  • Collaborate with shelter staff and local community organizations to connect clients with mental health, legal, financial, and housing resources.
  • Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of families and the program’s goals.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

  • Bachelors in related field or Associates with equivalent experience that demonstrates ability to perform the role.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have current Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to have within 60 days of employment
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under automotive insurance policy.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements.

  • Must have case management/Advocacy experience
  • Must be able to work with families in crisis and be able to offer supportive services.
  • Ability to work in an active environment and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent networking skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have good organization and time management skills.
