POSITION SUMMARY
Facilities Support Partner performs activities related to the daily maintenance and other needs of DeColores shelter and community-based centers. The support partner takes the lead in responding to fires and facilities emergencies, and is responsible for:
- scheduling and taking vehicles for regular or other maintenance
- in and out wash of vehicles
- daily donation pickups as the main driver
- special assignment maintenance
- assisting with maintenance of all storage
- transporting all large bulk of trash to dumpster
- indoors and outdoors heavy duty maintenance
- assembly of and replacement of furniture and equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to drive large, refrigerated vehicle or large cargo vehicle for donation pickups
- Maintain a valid and unexpired Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Maintain an active Food Handler’s Card
- Able to obtain a CPR certificate
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Able to provide on-the-spot support with any maintenance needs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Position Requirements:
This position is both a mobile and a sedentary position with periods of intense physical activity and is performed mostly standing and moving around the facility. Positions typical in nature require regular walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders for high places, bending, reaching, holding, grasping, and turning objects. Must be comfortable using a variety of tools and driving delivery trucks.
This position requires regular lifting, moving and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be able to provide on-the-spot support with any heavy lifting such as being able to move and lift furniture and other heavy items.
Travel/Driving:
Local travel will be necessary to successfully fulfill the duties of this position between shelter and community-based facilities. Candidate must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Technology will be utilized to minimize travel whenever feasible.
