What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Grandparent & Companion Coordinator position at Chicanos Por La Causa?
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Community Services Director, manages the day-to-day operation of the Foster Grandparent Program/ Sr. Companion Program (FGP/SCP) programs such as but not limited to building relationship with schools in Dona Ana, Grants, Catron and Mckinley, senior community centers, coordinating volunteer outreach and recruitment, training, and worksite visits. Performs clerical duties for the FGP/SCP programs and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of the communities in Dona Ana, Grants, Catron and McKinley. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for the position, but is not a comprehensive list.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of High School Diploma. An Associates Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Social Work.
