POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assessing, facilitating, and monitoring all components of client medical services. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations in policy development and implementation according to State Licensing and ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement), as well as on-going program refinement based on advances in the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education / Background
Must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience :
- High School Diploma / GED and
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN); Certified Medical Office (CMO); or related medical field certification (e.g., phlebotomy, pharmacy etc..), WITH 1 (one) to 2 (two) years of experience in a health care setting with pediatric / adolescence population preferred.
