OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
To plan, develop, and provide oversight of the Growth Opportunities program. This includes
raising program funds, stackable with the current awarded contract, developing strong community
support and collaborative partnerships, maintaining effective linkages with other agencies, ensuring the
quality and integration of all components, staff supervision, and working with the youth policy
committee. Timely Quarterly and yearly reporting required by Department of Labor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain staff accountability to their assigned job duties and oversee fidelity to funding and contract requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field OR
- Training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, planning or management, preferably in youth services or workforce
- Strong leadership skills and at least five years’ successful management or planning experience in a community-based setting
- Demonstrated skill in nonprofit fundraising and program development
- Experience in budget development and fiscal management of an agency with a budget that exceeds $3 million
- Experience with AmeriCorps and/or AC Vista
- Experience in supervision, training, and evaluation of personnel is preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is preferred
