POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, the Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for assisting members in understanding their strengths and interests, developing employment goals, and enhancing readiness and commitment to pursue employment. This position is responsible for educating, coaching, training, and demonstrating skills required for securing and maintaining employment. This position provides job development and coaching services, including maintaining strong relationships with community employers. The Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for identifying and incorporating vocational goals and services in the Individual Service Plan (ISP), direct service provision and/or coordination of services and monitoring for successful outcomes. Committed to meeting the members where they are and providing appropriate services in the community and home. The Rehabilitation Specialist works in partnership with assigned RSA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, community rehabilitation program providers, and other parties involved to assist members in increasing or maintaining involvement in learning, working, living and social activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral health OR
- Bachelor's degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience OR
- Associate's degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health work experience OR
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience or four years of full time behavioral health work experience
Additional Qualifications not required but preferred:

Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP), certified through the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program.
