POSITION SUMMARY
The School Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the school district, responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and management of the district’s schools, including three charter schools located in Tucson and Phoenix. The Superintendent ensures that the district provides a high-quality education to all students, aligns resources to improve student achievement, and fosters a positive and productive relationship with the community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
- Education: Master’s degree in Education Administration or a related field.
- Certification: Valid Arizona certification as a Superintendent.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience in education, preferably as a Superintendent or in a senior leadership role. Experience working with or within charter schools is highly desirable.
