Chichester School District is looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our team!

We are looking for a candidate who will take pride in their work, maintaining accurate accounting records for General Fund, Tax Accounts, and Student Activity Funds. The ideal candidate will be organized, have good time management skills, and be ready to learn!
Duties and Responsibilites:
* Assist in overseeing the Business office operations of payroll, and accounts payable.
* Perform responsibilites for the General Ledger, duties including but not limited to accounts receivable, invoicing, ledger posting and treasurer's report.
*Prepare financial statements and reports as required by the School Board, PA Department of Education and federal projects.
* Monitor federal program expenditures.
*Maintain debt service schedules and wire debt payments, prepare state forms for reimbursement.
*Process all accounts receivable including state and federal subsidies.
* Reconcile all district bank accounts.
* Maintain tax collection records, and serve as the district's liaison with tax collectors.
*Assist with annual audit.
*Process checks for Student Activity Fund
* Manage MYSchoolBucks for online payment .
*Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US: Performs all Accounts Recievable tasks for the distict. This is a great position to get your feet wet in the accounting or education world! We are looking for someone who is willing to learn new things and work as part of the Business Office.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Other accounting software programs (eFinancePlus) desired but not required.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
