Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist supports the effective operation of the Human Resources department within the Chichester School District. This role involves managing various HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, HRIS, benefits administration, training and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the full-cycle recruitment process.
- Collaborate with administrators to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to address workforce demands.
- Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification and clearance requirements.
- Act as a resource to employees and administrators, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues while promoting a positive work environment.
- Support and assist the Director of Human Resources in the preparation of various data reporting.
- Interpret and communicate district policies and procedures to staff.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of various Human Resources Information Systems in concert with various administrators.
- Oversees all benefits administration
- Maintain up to date knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws.
- Prepare for and participate in audits or reviews.
- Coordinate and implement professional development initiatives for staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and provide opportunities for employee growth.
- Create in concert with the Director of Human Resources an onboarding/orientation program.
- Assists in coordination and administration of Wellness and Total Rewards Program for staff.
- Assist in the development of a departmental HR newsletter
- Assist in developing, updating and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure the school district adheres to labor laws, workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a public sector or education environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Salary : $62,000
