Job Description:
The Kitchen Manager for Chick-fil-A at Frederick North is responsible for all operational activities associated with the kitchen areas of the restaurant. The Kitchen Manager is prepared to execute daily excellence across a full spectrum of operational activities at the operational and tactical level. The Kitchen Manger remains in close daily contact with the Back of House (BOH) Director. The Kitchen Manager sets the standard for Operational Excellence and leads by example while mentoring and developing the Kitchen Team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains work environment that promotes, enables and ensures food safety
- Deliver crave-able food in a timely manner
- Meet Chick-fil-A quality requirements
- Coach Team Leader and Team Member behaviors
- Maintains and develops a sense of urgency that creates surprisingly fast service
- Attention to detail ensuring preparation and production procedures are followed
- Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment
- Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the Kitchen
- Display efficient and organized inventory management\
- Maintain accurate and timely transfer logs
- Maintain accurate and timely QIC logs
- Implement effective and efficient product, produce and bread ordering
- Maintain a LEAN production environment
- Schedule kitchen Team Members
- Deliver weekly plans of action report to BOH Director
- Open and Close the restaurant
- Coach, evaluate, and hold accountable Kitchen Team Members
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checklists are completed
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 Years in restaurant leadership role or equivalent
- 40 hours a week availability, Saturday availability
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in Kitchen operations
- Available to work 2 evenings per week and 3 Saturdays a month
- Must have strong computer skills
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 Year Higher Education Degree or equivalent
- ServSafe Certified
- 2 years, or more experience within the restaurant industry
- Skilled in time management.
- Self-directed and highly organized
