SUMMARY

Chick-fil-A Five Points is seeking an Operations Director with the ability to provide operational oversight and strong leadership. The Operations Director works with the Operator/Owner and the Executive Team and will have the opportunity to lead, grow, and serve. The Operations Director is responsible for coaching leaders on and off shift, working on business plans, participating in business strategy meetings, and holding our team accountable. The Operations Director will also have his/her hand in multiple aspects of the restaurant and will work alongside the team to strategize and execute our vision. This role is hands on, so this leader must have the ability to manage multiple areas of the business simultaneously. In order to be successful, consistent and effective communication are key, as well as the ability to extrapolate data and shift directives to manage results. This leader will be intentionally developed and long-term will have the opportunity to serve as the top leader or pursue corporate/franchising opportunities.


POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in the operations overseeing and supervising daily systems and processes
  • Coach and train your team; celebrate successes while holding team members accountable for performance results
  • Positively impact the team and culture by modeling core values
  • Intentionally invest in and develop team members and mid-level leaders
  • Ongoing evaluation of business operations and streamlining systems/processes to improve efficiency and to build sustainable sales and profit growth
  • Know, set, and evolve store goals with a focus on key metrics
  • Evaluate logistical needs and plan ahead to ensure that the store runs with excellence during peak times
  • Perform off-shift managerial tasks such as team training and development, scheduling, inventory, ordering, etc.
  • Meet regularly with Operator and Executive Team to set goals, train, and achieve


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years of restaurant management experience
  • Demonstrates humility and servant leadership mentality
  • Optimistic and engaging; possessing a genuine heart and care for people
  • High-level organizational skills with multi-tasking capabilities; detail-oriented
  • Flexible; can make quick, smart decisions under pressure
  • Strong in systems and processes
  • Team oriented; experience in development and training
  • Balances efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to lead, manage, and hold people accountable
  • Strong communication skills; able to build rapport within and outside the organization
  • Dedicated, self-starter, and resourceful problem solver
  • Possesses professionalism with team and guests
  • Passionate about creating and maintaining positive culture
  • Ability to think like an owner; entrepreneurial spirit


REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to keep up in a fast paced environment
  • 4 years of full-time restaurant management experience
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Proven track records of business results
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Participate in a training program if no prior Chick-fil-A experience
  • ServSafe certification


The Chick-fil-A story started in 1946, when Truett Cathy opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia. Credited with inventing the original boneless breast of chicken sandwich, Mr. Cathy founded Chick-fil-A, Inc. in the 1960s and pioneered the establishment of restaurants in shopping malls with the opening of the first Chick-fil-A restaurant at a mall in suburban Atlanta in 1967. Since then, Chick-fil-A has steadily grown to become the second largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States with more than 3000 locations. Chick-fil-A, Inc. is still privately held and family owned.
