We are looking to produce original entertainment – entertainment not necessarily about Chick-fil-A products or the Chick-fil-A brand -- but rather, content that accomplishes the following:

The Entertainment Producer role is charged with overseeing the day-to-day creative production of original scripted and unscripted shows produced by Chick-fil-A and its various production partners and content creators. This original programming is intended for Chick-fil-A’s soon-to-be launched PLAY entertainment app and may include scripted podcasts and audio adventures, original animation, reality and game shows, and other live-action scripted or non-scripted programming. Once new series have been greenlit for production, the Entertainment Producer will work under the direction of the Entertainment Creative Director to bring each assigned series to life.

The Entertainment Producer will report to the Entertainment Creative Director.

Responsibilities
The Entertainment Producer’s responsibilities will include:
- Original Programming: partnering with various production entities and content creators who produce podcasts, live-action scripted video entertainment, animation, game shows, reality, or other non-scripted shows for the slate of entertainment content intended for the Chick-fil-A PLAY app.
- On-Brand: ensuring content matches the vision, heartbeat and positioning of the Chick-fil-A brand; the Chick-fil-A brand has a very specific and nuanced approach, and content will need to be carefully and thoughtfully brought to life in such a way that audiences both internal and external can quickly say, ‘that feels like Chick-fil-A’
- On-Brief: ensuring content accomplishes the objectives set out in each documented brief
- On-Audience: ensuring the content creates value for our audience, engages our audience, and entertains our kids & family audience
- On-Quality: ensuring the writing, narratives, editing, music, audio, pacing, & visuals are of a quality and caliber audiences would expect of entertainment providers and of Chick-fil-A
- On-Time: ensuring content is launched based on an annual slate and drop schedule
- On-Budget: ensuring content is produced based on agreed-to budgets
The Entertainment Producer’s success will be determined by performance in the following areas of responsibility:
Content Execution The Entertainment Producer will oversee day-to-day execution for the development of audio/podcast scripted series and video series, including potentially scripted and nonscripted original programming. Each series has a defined launch season over the course of our annual slate. The Entertainment Producer will seek to produce quality content that captures the attention and imaginations of a four-quadrant audience, stewarding and extending the trust earned by the Chick-fil-A brand over decades of interactions.
Content DevelopmentThe Entertainment Producer will oversee day-to-day production of new content from greenlight all the way through to launch, ensuring each new series is cultivated, curated and critiqued effectively. The Entertainment Producer will be charged with utilizing a keen judgment to ensure creative decisions and executions large and small maintain the integrity of a good story, an entertaining story, a story with stakes, audio, acting and editing – that together result in a product befitting of the Chick-fil-A brand and family audience expectations. With content production and budgets at an all-time high across the entertainment industry, the Entertainment Producer will be challenged to develop quality content that both engages in an environment competing for attention, while also doing so in a manner that is on vision for the Chick-fil-A brand.
Creative CommunityThe Entertainment Producer role will provide informal management of a network of creative collaborators and partners. Management of this community of creative execution partners will require a unique skillset – both imaginative cultivation of creative as well as critical judgment to curate & make decisions in the face of uncertainty and debate.
The Entertainment Producer will be charged to manage a creative community inclusive of:
- Writers
- Studios
- Agencies
- Audio Designers
- Actors
- Casting Directors
- Artists
- Showrunners
Ultimately the Entertainment Producer will be responsible for helping the Entertainment Creative Director to shepherd this broad array of talent toward a common goal of quality product and a repeatable process that motivates the best talent to return to work with Chick-fil-A on future entertainment endeavors.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Showrunner or principal creative producer for scripted live-action, reality, game show, or animated series
- Showrunner, head writer, or principal creative producer for scripted podcast series writer
- Writer for kids/family series
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
