Job Description
The facilities and equipment maintenance technician oversees the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building / facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, production lines, ovens, groundskeeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Dynamic and versatile professional adept at handling a wide range of responsibilities. Experienced in handling a wide range of maintenance, facilities and mechanical support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting a diverse restaurant organization.
Responsibilities
Lead all facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance and improvement efforts
Maintain all machines and equipment in the FOH and BOH. Troubleshoot possible service issues with FOH / BOH Directors on an as needed basis.
Develop a preventative maintenance schedule to keep all equipment in safe working order, overseeing timely repair
Maintain all catering delivery vehicles. Ensure vehicles are kept in top condition and preventative maintenance is performed
Be able to successfully function during times of uncertainty and changing priorities
Remains calm, maintains perspective and responds professionally when faced with evolving situations.
Keep strong relationships with our vendors.
Track purchases / orders as necessary while ordering supplies.
Negotiate and manage service contracts and direct efforts to efficiently procure equipment, parts, and related supplies.
Directly lead or coordinate all energy and sustainability projects.
Plan and propose strategic capital expenditures and budgeting to senior leadership
Collaborate with site management and HR on building safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts.
Maintain all inspection, audit, and maintenance records
Set a consistent example for others in management effectiveness, leadership style, communication, and integrity.
Requirements :
Ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and energy projects

Experience in electrical, plumbing, and heat and air
Ability to develop and cost justify a capital budget, and the ability to achieve departmental efficiencies.
